Sometimes, you want to avoid the risk and cost of a trial. You and the DBPR attorney can agree to a "Plea Bargain”, officially called a stipulation. The licensee-respondent may enter into a stipulation (an agreement as to the facts of the case and the penalty reached between the attorneys for the DRE and the licensee). Stipulations must be approved by the FREC for them to become effective.
